Five new bikes from Husqvarna

New five year plan includes new road-going models based around the BMW engines

The BMW-backed Italian marque, Husqvarna, known for its off-roading motorcycles will soon be launching its road-going portfolio as a part of its five-year company strategy. The range will include five different models starting with a street bike based around BMW's twin-cylinder 800cc Rotax motor that currently powers some of the motorcycles in BMW's GS series.

After having an impressive line-up of off-road bikes, Husqvarna is looking to step into the street bike market with newer road machines. It is a good option to explore more possibilities especially under the umbrella of the BMW Group. The decision to step into the road motorcycle market got a push after the Husqvarna Mille3 Concept displayed at the 2010 EICMA Show garnered a positive response from enthusiasts. The Husqvarna range will be targeted at the youth with its radical design and lightweight dynamics.

Honda launches the CB Shine with all graphics, fresh colours and more upgrades

The New Honda CB Shine

The 125cc commuter bike segment has long been dominated by the Honda CB Shine and it will now be available in two new colours and funkier graphics. The new CB Shine will be available in Monsoon Grey Metallic and Silver Metallic aside from the Black, Geny Grey Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic that are already on sale. The new CB Shine will also sport tubeless tyres at the front as well as the rear in its Self / Drum / Alloy wheels and self / Disc / Alloy wheels variant.

The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer had earlier upgraded their Shine with a CB attached along with its name and some other small cosmetic changes. Although these changes are minimal, it is one of the few bikes currently available in the market that can be bought off the shelf and does not have a waiting period.

Meanwhile, the CB Shine will host the same 125cc four-stroke SI engine, producing 10.2PS of power and 10.54Nm torque. The Honda CB Shine is priced at Rs 47,804 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available at all Honda dealerships.
